Hi. I’m Jeremy. I’m a web nerd.
And you’ll love me.
I write. I code. And make a mean martini.

Say hello.

Another Year (part one)

In 2007, my last post of the year recapped some of my accomplishments and set forth some goals for 2008. I’d like to do the same this year, with the addition of reflecting on how I did on last year’s goals.

Since there’s a lot to say here, I’m going to divide it up into several parts.

Let’s start with the new feature, a review of last year’s goals and some play-by-play about how I did.

Build up my own business

Well I haven’t quite got there yet, but it’s certainly been a work in progress. I’ve thought a lot more about what I really want to do with my own business, come up with a name, and nearly completed my first product.

As I’ve been re-delving into the new world of the web, I’ve learned quite a lot this year, and I hope to be able to share what I know with the rest of the world, that greatly needs to embrace the social Internet in order to communicate with the public.

Complete my facebook application

Uhh.. Oops.. Definitely dropped the ball here. Luckily, I believe my application is still unique and will be of great value when I have the time to complete it.

Complete some other software development projects

2008 has been a year of new ideas for me. Luckily, it’s seen the near-completion of my one big idea, foto:blip. So I guess this one is a sortof success.

Start a writing regimen, including blogging as well as poetry, fiction and nonfiction

Regimen.. hmm.. not quite. But I have been blogging and Tweeting a lot more than before and with a lot more MEANING. I’ve been working towards making this blog less of a personal rant page and more into a tool for promoting my professional experience.

Travel to new york city more often

Epic Fail.. It just didn’t happen this year. Still something I’d like to do more of, but finding the time is always the hardest part. I guess, in my defense, I’ve been embracing the wonders of my own city of Philadelphia a bit more this year, and having less longing for the big city to the North.
